It is common for many women to question their personal style during pregnancy or postpartum. Nor was it for nothing: everything around them is changing, questioning several things, worrying a thousand and usually less time. Priorities change and spending on new clothes for yourself is not always a priority. And no need, you know? You can enjoy your clothes in pregnancy and postpartum.
Here are some quick tips for both pregnancy and postpartum, and for those who are a little dissatisfied with their fitness. I will show some tricks to go through these phases.

1 – Elastic in jeans
enjoy your clothes in pregnancy and postpartum It’s very simple: just take a rubber band, those little hair curlers, put it around the button, go through the box and again go around the button. Ready! Then just cover with a longer t-shirt or tie a shirt at the waist (90’s trend, it’s super high).
This is for many types of pants, shorts, skirts… you can adapt. As the belly gets bigger, you can replace the elastic. Works with tie too.
2 – Tight clothes
When we’re a few pounds above what we’re used to, tight clothing is out of the question, right? What if I say fair clothes are friendly, not enemies? I say that because that loose suit used to disguise can bring that face of “gas cylinder cap”, and this I imagine no one wants. It takes advantage that the belly is round and, even with the extra pounds, everything is stretched. It is to mark indeed! The Kardashian sisters are there to prove that anything is possible.
If tight clothing does not make you comfortable, one solution is to overlap, as in the following example.
3 – Open Shirt
The shirts may not be closing right now, but who says they need to discard? A good solution is to use them as a third piece. Underneath, put one of those little tank tops I’m sure you have in the closet. It can also be any other basic blouse.
Besides, adding a third piece always makes the look more tidy, with that face that you thought fondly to dress, you know? Even if it only took 5 minutes…
4 – Husband’s shirt / t-shirt
The partner is not always bigger than us, but the idea of wearing men’s pieces is because they are more “square”. I explain: the female body has more curves, so female modeling is more limited because of curves, without much room for extra mass. Male modeling, because it is straighter, has more space.
Put the t-shirt and, to give a feminine touch, just give a double in the sleeve or, depending on the stage of the size of the belly, make a little on the side.
5 – Form lines and abuse them
I talked about wearing an open shirt, a husband’s shirt… I’ve been talking a lot about overlapping because that’s the key word to have versatility in looks, in general.
Placing an overlapping third open piece adds two vertical lines to the silhouette, lengthening the look. Great idea, no? And on top of that disguises the sides.
Whether it’s jacket, shirt, vest, coat, overlap is always a great ally.
No one has to have a model body to dress well, and it’s not just that if you’re a few pounds more than you normally are, you should hide the curves instead. We have to feel comfortable as we are.
I love this phrase from English designer Vivienne Westwood: “buy less, choose better.” The clothes, to reach us at a good price, go through dozens of processes that cause social and environmental damage and only consciously consuming that we can reduce these impacts. How about starting now?
